Top 10 London Design Week
London Design Week has been going strong for 10 years, so what better reason for a LOFT Top Ten! Here’s our pick of this year’s talent.
1. Tea for One
We love this cute little number from DesignK. With just enough space for one cup of cha, it’s perfect for design-conscious singles.
2. RED at the Conran Shop
Brighten things up with this pillar box red collection from the Conran crew.
3. Eclectic by Tom Dixon
Heavyweight copper, brass and cast aluminium artefacts including dishes, candle holders and even a children’s jack are all part of the Brit designer’s new collection.
4. Bench of Plates
We love this bench created by AL_A’s which was placed in John Madejski Garden at the V&A during the festival.
5. iPad Charger
It’s not the most practical but it gets a laugh. Thanks to Scott Eaton at Tent.
6. Writing Desk
A mix of carbon fibre and leather upholstery, LOFT loves this desk by Alex Hull for Linley.
You might age every time you look in this mirror but so will the solid walnut frame. By Joe Doucet.
8. Rebay Lights
Jon Male recycled lamps bought on eBay for his Rebay collection.
Give your fish a treat with this handblown fish tank, designed to look as though it’s toppling off the edge of a surface.
10. ‘Crystal’ Sculpture
From Paul Elliman’s ‘Baby you Could Have Whatever you Like’ comes this fun sculpture, which on closer inspection, is made from empty Bic biros!
